YELLOWSTONE: COSTUME BLOG
SEASON: FALL
This is where the Costume Department will give you notes on what to wear, what to bring, and what to be prepared for.
Each day you come to work, we'd like you to bring three options of outfits. This way, we can choose the look that works the best for the scene and make sure we have a variety of colors and styles within your category. Even if you don't have exactly what you see in the photos, bring several options of what you have. We might love it! Also, please bring any accessories you normally wear with your costume (jewelry, accessories, etc.)
If you have tattoos, please bring clothing options to cover them.
If you are recalled or if you are working on multiple days in the same scene, please bring all of the same stuff you wore on your first work day. If you aren't sure whether we've seen you in a particular scene, just bring whatever you've worn on camera in the past. Once we start filming, your costume needs to stay exactly the same until we've finished the scene, so if you are wearing a jacket when we start filming, you'll need to wear it the whole day, even if the weather gets warm.
Along with your costume, bring a warm layer to wear when you aren't filming and ladies in heels, bring comfortable shoes to wear when you are off camera.
Please stay away from:
Bright colors
Bold Patterns and Prints
Logos/ Copyrighted items
Black and white are okay in small amounts but try to bring
some options in the colors on this chart as well.
CLUB MEMBERS / PATRONS
For Men:
For Women:
- professional business attire that fits well
- suits, neutral colors, navy, grey, tan, brown
- sports coats, trousers, dress jeans
- dress shirts in blue, white, pale grey, muted colors
- ties, avoid shiny fabrics and busy patterns
- dress shoes or loafers and dress belt in the same color
- professional business attire
- suits, with either pants or skirts
- button down blouses or knit tops in muted colors
- dress pants or nice casual pants in black, grey, navy, khaki, muted colors
- professional dresses or skirts
- sensible heels or flats for women, closed toe, soft soles that don't make noise when you walk
- small tasteful jewelry and watches, scarves, handbags
WAITSTAFF
- we will provide light grey button down shirts, khaki ties, grey vests, grey dress pants, and deerfield gold pins
- please bring black leather lace up shoes and a black belt, if you have them
HOST / HOSTESS
For Men:
- professional business attire that fits well
- dark suit: black, charcoal, dark brown
- dress shirts in white, pale grey, blue, muted colors
- dark colored, simple ties, no shiny fabrics or busy patterns
- dress shoes and dress belt in the same color
- professional business attire, dark colors
- suits, with either pants or skirts

BARBACKS / BUSSERS
- we will provide light grey polos, grey chinos, and aprons
- please bring black leather lace up shoes and a black belt, if you have them
COCKTAIL WAITRESSES
- we will provide grey blouses and charcoal skirts
- please bring black heels you can easily walk in or flats
